State Leads Nikoosh Carlo Office of the Governor Dr. Nikoosh Carlo is the Governor’s Senior Advisor for Climate and Arctic Policy. Dr. Carlo coordinates Alaska's climate policy and actions as Alaskans face the various challenges of a rapidly changing physical, economic, and social landscape. She was most recently a senior advisor at the U.S. State Department for the U.S. Chairmanship of the Arctic Council. Dr. Carlo has a PhD in neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Return to the Climate Change leadership page.
